Nos anos que imediatamente se seguiram participou activamente nas ac\u00e7\u00f5es desenvolvidas com o apoio de um vasto grupo de activistas, ligados, quer a Laborat\u00f3rios do Estado quer a institui\u00e7\u00f5es de ensino superior, que reivindicava o reconhecimento pelos poderes constitu\u00eddos da import\u00e2ncia da actividade cient\u00edfica como esteio do desenvolvimento econ\u00f3mico, social e cultural do pa\u00eds e a necessidade de melhorar as condi\u00e7\u00f5es de trabalho de quantos exerciam essa actividade profissional. Esse movimento esteve na ra\u00edz do primeiro \u201cesbo\u00e7o\u201d de uma carreira cient\u00edfica instituida por diploma legal. (1986)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Em Julho de 1979, formalizara-se a OTC como associa\u00e7\u00e3o profissional dotada de personalidade jur\u00eddica.
